103rd Street karting Sports Complex belongs to the city of Jacksonville, and is operated by the NFKC. This is a great kart track in Florida that offers free practice seven days a week, as well as seasonal racing, in addition to hosting various racing series.
The property at 103rd Street was originally purchased by Duval County in 1960, the 14 acre park became part of the City of Jacksonville’s facilities in the Department of Recreation and Public Affairs. And is currently run by the NFKC, who puts on many great kart racing events, including sprint and endurance racing throughout the year.
The 103rd street sports complex consists of a 0.5 mile lighted Kart track, and includes amenities such as bleachers, restrooms, and some paved pits that are lighted and covered with power. This is a great place to spend the day karting in north Florida. The kart track direction is counter clockwise and features a 1000 foot straight. Which is the longest straight of any kart track in Florida. And also has interesting banked turns that you will not find at any other kart track in Florida.
The North Florida Kart Club has been a huge part of the kart track, and has helped in its maintenance and kart park improvements. Such as the fairly recent re paving of certain parts of the track, this is all possible by its fund-raising efforts, and club memberships. In addition, the Club hosts karting regional and national Kart races at the facility including top events such as the WKA Gold Cup and many other prestigious karting events such as Rok Cup USA.
Practice is free, and open seven days a week, excluding events.
